In 2025, fine artists Milton 510 and D. Burgess Art launched "The ABCs of Black History,” transforming educational flashcards into a fine art collection that introduced the South to a reimagined version of the iconic educational tool.

Every person deserves to see themselves and their culture represented on TV screens, in films, in museums, and in their learning materials.

This 26-piece series of collectible flashcards celebrates the diversity, beauty, and history of the Black diaspora paying homage to the educators who taught Freedom Schools, Black Power, and cultural excellence in classrooms, churches, and homes. We hope our ongoing collaboration demonstrates how we all can reclaim our authentic stories.
